The Rivalaris Round 3

Libby: My Grandpa Andy is crazy. He was a wonderful man that took care of his family. Uncle John and Dad might have not gotten along well but that wasn't Grandpa's fault. Grandpa was best friends with Allyn and he decided he wanted someone to spend the end of his days with. Allyn wanted family, so he went ahead and granted her wish even though he knew he might not be around to raise their family together. He was soo happy when she got pregnant with Andrew and even more happy to see the birth of his 3rd son. He gardened til the end of his days, he did in fact die out there near his garden. It was a sad day for all of us, but most especially for Allyn.
Unfortunately I wasn't there. I had already left for college. Grandpa said he was very proud of me before I left. I"m going to miss him soo very much. I hope it doesn't effect my studies at university but only time will tell if I can handle my grief and my studies. He was such a big part of my life.
Allyn is a nice lady. She was soo happy with Grandpa even though she didn't like his dirty jokes much. After Andrew was born her and Grandpa decided to try for another baby. I'm not sure it was the smartest thing for them to do. Grandpa was already very old, but Allyn was determined that she wanted another baby by him. It's been really rough for her since he died. Dad says she's always tired, and has passed out numerous times. He really is worried about her. Pregnancy wasn't exactly easy the first go round for her, and with her heart being broken cuz of the loss of Grandpa...well..Dad's really worried bout her.
Course...I think the reason he's soo worried bout her is he really REALLY has the hots for her. I heard him tell a friend of his that if Grandpa hadn't snatched her up he would have. He tries to help her out as much as he can while advancing his career. I don't think Allyn could have survived after Grandpa died without Dad. Dad also got to meet Uncle John's wife this week. Dad seemed kinda down that Uncle John and Grandpa both had someone to make them happy and cuddle with. Who knows what the future will bring.

The Jones House Round 3

Jason: Tiny Bubbles...In my wine....makes me haaaaaapppy makes me feel fine!! Oops...Let's just pretend you didn't just hear that. My lovely wife Ginger says my singing that song makes me sound like a lush, course I catch her singing it in the shower to sooo...Anyways...it was a fun week for us. I finally earned my gold gardening badge.. I'm soo happy. I been telling my plants dirty jokes and they are doing quite well. I also have been doing well at work. I impressed the boss and I got a promotion to Vice President.

Ginger spent most of the week with our son, Tyler, and making sure he got a great start on life. We did have a few dates though that were just dreamy.. Ginger also managed to snag a promotion at work to Horoscope Writer.
And then there's Tyler...He's growing quite well but he's a bit of an awkward child. I can remember being an awkward child myself. He'll eventually grow into himself though. I can't imagine my beautiful 3LB wife and I having anything but a most handsome son.

The Stiff/Lawson House Round 3

Seth Lawson: What do you want? Go away...hrmph..what? I said go away..::grumbles:: Not going huh? Fine...You promise you'll leave me alone after I tell you bout this week? It was a miserable week. We got stuff done but I lost my beloved. We had the headmaster over to get my daughter Mandie into private school. We almost had disaster strike when a fire broke out but luckily she still got in. I knew my beloved was getting on in years and I wanted to cherish every moment we had. We went on several dates, and made plenty of woohoo. I just wish I had met my beloved Andrea when she was younger so she could have borne me sons.

Mandie learned everything she needed to as a toddler to become a brilliant child. She's getting great grades. She misses her mother horribly though. We threw her a birthday party before Andrea passed on and it went fabulous. I invited all my friends...Andrea was grumbly though because she wanted to throw the party and I beat her to it. If I had realised it was her wish I would have let her throw it. Daniel has been helping Mandie with her homework. I tried to but it's just soo dull. We adopted a beautiful lil puppy named Emily for Mandie.

Daniel was heartbroken when his mother passed on. He's starting to move on after the loss of his first wife. He met this girl named Chris while he was out on the town one night. He asked her to marry him and they had a quiet lil marriage. Daniel said it wouldn't be right to have a big to-do given his mother had died so very recently. Chris is a nice enough girl I guess. She's already pregnant with Daniel's child. I must admit to some jealousy because of this. Daniel has also been doing well in his job and secured promotion to Personal Injury Attorney.
My dear beloved Andrea...Life is soo hard without her. She was my sun, moon, and stars. She lived well and died well.

Seth: Well hello...Jessica was telling me bout you before she left for school... It's been a sad interesting week. James actually managed to find some happiness in his last days. He fell in love with Sandy Bruty and James and woohoo'd them both. He managed to get away with it though. Neither ever realized he'd cheated on them. He died shortly after getting home from work early in the week. Jessica complained because she didn't like James and he almost ruined one of her dates. (Player's Note: Look at the photo in the collage on the bottom in the middle. Interesting pause. Looked like the Hula dancers were giving James a proper Romance Sim welcome to the afterlife with a free look up their skirts) Sandy keeps calling for James and I don't have the heart to tell her he's died. My father Jonathon was soo happy towards the end of his life. He fell in love with Vyn Lind and asked her to marry him, alas he died before they could get married. Vyn keeps calling for Dad just like Sandy's been calling. I don't have the heart to tell her he passed away either. I know I"m a chicken. Jessica had an interesting week after her steady David Rivalaria went to college. He made her promise to not wait for him, and to experiment while she was in high school. He said if they were meant to be together they would reconnect when she got to college. I think he did it because he wanted to experience the girls at College without feeling guilty about cheating on Jessica. Jessica made several new friends. She dated Ricky but felt he was not a good match, not sure if James dying during the middle of the date had anything to do with it. Then she met Randy London. They ended up going steady before she left for college. I'm not sure if she'll dump him when she mets up with David, stay with Randy, or dump them both for someone new. Only time will tell. I think James might have been a bad influence, but she just said she's looking for the person who will give her the most financial security when she's older. She tells me at the end of the day it's all about the bottom line $$$ I tried to spend time with James and Jonathon before they passed on but I also tried to advance my career and meet someone to spend my days with. I met a great girl, but our dates always end up less than perfect. I re-decorated the house and moved James and Jonathon's graves because I kept tripping over them after work, I tried to make it beautiful by planting a tree in the backyard and putting them in it's shade, but apparently ..Jonathon's shade wasn't too thrilled. He kept ruining my date. I don't know if I'll ever find love. Maybe I should just adopted. I want a son to carry on my name so badly. I know Dad wanted me to have one also. He adored Jessica but..ya know? What man doesn't want a son to carry no his name? Anyways.. Here's a shot of the house after the week was done, and the new remodels. Hope ya like it! Freshman Year all Sims have to suffer thru dorm living in Freshman housing. After that they can choose either public housing or private. Tony and Jay got a house together, David moved out on his own, Edith and Jenny were assigned to Longfellow House, and Abbey was assigned to Emerson Hall.

Tony and Edith fell for each other! Two LB couple!! Edith got into a secret society during her sophomore year. Tony proposed to her at his house one night and they're now happily engaged. Their first woohoo was in Edith's dorm room at Longfellow House. Tony wants his friend Ricky Cromier to join him at college, so this will happen next round. They are best friends.
Jenny met Brady Seavey in Freshman Housing. 2 LB Couple!!! They dated for a bit and then Jenny popped the question. Brady said yes. He is a Fortune Sim. Beyond that not much is known. Jenny can't wait for her sisters Bella and Jane to join her at college.


Abbey has been trying to meet her LTW of woohoo with 20 different sims. Current count is 7. They are in the following order.

The humor in number 3 is David is intended to hook up with Jessica Radcliff when she grows up. After a dream date with David, Jessica became a contact for Abbey. Jay Stewart wants to marry Abbey and thinks she is all that and a bag a potato chips. Will their relationship survive her college romance sim days? Or will she get caught? Can she reach 20 before she leaves college?

I didnt get any good pictures of David though so maybe next time. When Jessica arrives the real fun will begin.

Comments from a Bystander Round 2

OK this week was a bit rough but then I should have blogged it as I went instead of waiting til the end of the week to do it. It was hard to remember the order events happened in so it was a bit vague this week. I also decided to try the label feature to tell who was narrating each story so if you can't figure out who is talking to you just look for the label. I may do this different soon. I think I am also going to start trying to blog as I go instead of just one big update.

I had soo much trouble getting back into the challenge because my first family is such a pain for me. Difficult aspirations and two elders. When I had a pig fly over Point Forgotten it was kind of fitting because I was beginning to think pigs would fly before I would be able to get thru the Radcliffs, but I got thru it. I'm still not sure what to do with the old guys. They are sort of useful but utterly useless to try and get their wants. They just simply put don't have the time. I thought of a few storylines I could do with them but I just don't know. I'm really just kinda flyin by the seat of my pants with this family. Jessica rocks...everyone else I don't know about.

The Stiffs/Lawsons.
Yes, Mr Big did have the want of want to have a baby. It stuck around so I decided to lock it in and you will see this want dictate his storyline. Where it will go you will just have to see, some of it is a loose idea some of it very firm..so stay tuned. I want to move the Lawsons out but at the same time I don't because of the storyline I have in mind and the fact that I don't want Mr. Big to end up poor. So for the moment they stay in the house even though they should eventually have their own house. Mandie was the first official gen 2 baby in my challenge.

The Jones
Jason and Ginger....I originally played like 5 days with Jason then stopped so I could catch Ginger up a bit before moving her in. Then I accidentally on purpose got her pregnant during a date. So by the end of the week she moved in with Jason to have thier child. The house I hate so I've been trying to modify it. If I had spent more time choosing houses when setting up the challenge I never would have picked this house. but I want the bonuses for having the family stay in the original house ...so we'll work on making it more comfortable to move around.

The Rivalarias.
They're fun..sorta... I really thought I got more pictures in this house but turns out I got alot of crappy shots. I always seem to think I'm taking more pictures than I actually am. Then when it's blog time..oops no photos! David and Tony didn't manage to have enough chemisty and timing to get Melody to best friend status (unless i didn't notice) and when Jessica had huge chemistry with David it seemed like a stroke of genius. Don't count Melody out though. She's gets around the neighborhood so she may yet make it to college for Gen 1 univeristy. We still have the second half of Gen 1 to get to college. John I moved out because he just wasn't getting the time he deserved. I couldn't find him a good match while keeping him in the house, and he wanted his own family. Fred has a few prospects but just didn't have time to work out a wife this round. Libby will be taking her boyfriend to college. They're a two LB couple. He followed her home from school one day and he showed potential so I kept him. He's a pleasure sim also. I thought about re-rolling her aspiration but since I finally got the hang of dates I figured I'd keep it. Pleasure Sims aren't as horrible as I first thought they were. They're growing on me. Grandpa is working his garden. I'm hoping to be able to get the family a wishing well before he dies but we'll see.

The Montanas..
Ginger moved in with Jason so ya know what happened to her. Ace finally made a friend and then married her and moved her in. She got pregnant on the last day. I moved Virginia out in the middle of the week after moving in Matthew who brought to the house a whopping $1 and nothing in inventory I was all worried he was like loaded and thinking he could get her a big house if I could find a way to separate the cash but he's just broke. The Love Machine was something that just happened. The girls had sex in the cars cuz that's what their dates wanted..and when I had trouble getting Vamsi pregnant I said what the hell let's try the car and boom first try we have chimes...go figure..and thus the legend of the love machine was born. I will prolly carry this theme thru a couple houses... Get used to that ugly little car.. =-)

The Smiths..
Virginia and Matthew moved out and into this cute little cottage I had placed in the neighborhood. It's a nicely laid out house that I downloaded from the exchange. Someone made it for a challenge. I like it cuz the rooms are nice and big. This house is harder than I thought though because Matthew didn't have any friends, or money. He's old and can't contribute to the house and they have two kids. They can't afford a nanny or a maid..so he ends up doing alot of it. His life time want is to max all his skills and I am trying to fulfill it it just depends how long he lives. He had a 3 LB chemistry with Virginia when she's in her panties so I tweaked it a bit and it's now an all the time thing. I changed his liking undies to liking make up =-)

The Rivalarias 2
John moved out and met Claire. Finally some friggin chemistry. They liked each other, they had good dates! We have a match. Moved her in and surprise surprise...she had a good job and a buncha goodies. She's a Professional Party Goer which makes her my third townie sim for this challenge to move in with that Job.. Although technically she was the second because the Ace Montana was actually the last sim to finish his week because of me moving out his sisters and then finishing their weeks. (the other two professional partygoers are Seth Lawson and Vamsi Pai)

The Stewarts
Gah...two lost jobs, homework that was painful. But somehow I got the two girls going along nicely and everyone is on a good track in this house. I did have to have some of the kids do other kids homework. Between the working and everything they just didn't have time. I would also like to thank Ruby...You saved me with the flamingo thing. It made this house soooooo much more manageable than the first go. So thank you thank you thank you!!!

Anyways that is everything I think...I really am starting to like my sims...now the real challenge begins. Round 1 University. Not sure how I'm gonna handle it and I"m putting it off a day or two so I can figure out how I want to handle it.

The Stewarts Round 2

Hi! I'm Bella Stewart. Welcome to our house..we moved here...what? You met my dad and he told you about us? But he's dead =-( He died when I was little...oh his ghost told you about us? Ahh..ok my brother and sisters told me bout Dad haunting the place for a while. Well Jane grew up this week. She's alot of fun and one of my best friends. We're very close.

Winter came and it was soo much fun!! Snowball fights rock!! My family might be a little odd but we did the best we could given the circumstances. Everyone chipped in to help each other. Sometimes with the older kids working we'd have to help them by doing their homework for them, but it was for a good cause. They needed to get as good a start at college as they could and it's not like we had alot of time for learning things to get alot of scholarships.
Unfortunately Jay got fired this week...He was soo bummed bout it...
Jenny lost her job too...So they both tried to help everyone else catch up on school work.
Somewhere along the way I grew up...I grew up well but no one really noticed..we couldn't have a party because how could we afford it? Our money is soo hard to come by. We do have our little money trees but we have to hide them away alot so people don't steal our stuff.
I did my hair and make up and I look alot better now....
Jane has a boyfriend now..they went on a few dates and he dropped her off a beautiful new telescope..I love it!! Jane says I can use it too...she's an awesome sister like that..and like I said we're very close. With all the older kids outta the house it's a bit calmer. So I invited the Headmaster for dinner. We weren't sure we would be able to get in...But I picked up enough by watching cooking shows to wow him and we cleaned the house from top to bottom. So now me and Jane are in private school...Anyways..that was our week =-)
